Tucker Anthony's Friedberg, who worked for several years for Qwest predecessor US West's former New Vector wireless group, found nothing unusual in Qwest's free-month program.
"I don't think Qwest is resorting to an extraordinary or underhanded business practice that other carriers haven't used at one time or another over their corporate history," he said."
